LSSiDATA’s Universal Gateway (LUG) is a central access point for programmatic interactive access to all of LSSiDATA’s data assets both those hosted in LSSiDATA’s data centers and those hosted in International Telephone Carrier data centers.
The LUG API offers connectivity via TCP/IP to the different LSSiDATA databases using a single simple text based interface. This API allows customers to write software that submits queries programmatically and to have those queries authenticated, routed to the specified data source, retrieval performed and the results delivered back to the querying application. Redundant data centers, servers, and network paths, provide a high level of system availability even in the event of an outage or during system maintenance.
The LUG supports an XML layer or can be queried using the proprietary LUG language. For faster implementation of simpler queries the XML is a good choice. For applications where the data retrieval is integral to the function of the underlying software the LUG language, due to its increased flexibility, is preferable.
Data sets on the LUG include:
Hosted in LSSiDATA facilities
- National Directory Assistance Data
- Canadian Telco Data
- Vintage Data
- Wireless Data
- LandLine Plus Data
