Quality – QUIC

LSSiDATA’s Quality Update Identify & Change (QUIC) process for persistent data optimization utilizes a wide range of automation, innovative update processes and external certification to deliver exceptionally (and possibly uniquely) fresh and accurate contact information. More than 14 years of experience has contributed to algorithms, tables, web-based tools, and automated telephony-based verification applied to ensure quality for hundreds of millions of residential, business and government listings from many sources.

LSSiDATA developed QUIC to ensure that names , addresses, phone numbers, wireless numbers, email addresses, and other contact information is as accurate as possible, given the rigorous requirements for Directory Assistance as well as other Reach & Response needs. List wholesalers rely on LSSiSDATA quality as the only Tier 1 supplier of contact information sourced directly from carriers that is NOT a telecommunication provider.

Data Normalization

A key QUIC component is data normalization. Contact information sourced from carriers, wireless providers, cable companies, etc. arrives with inconsistent standardization. A QUIC automated normalization brief list of examples displays a sampling of techniques honed from more than a decade of experience :

  • Abbreviations – PHNX = Phoenix
  • Names – Wm = William
  • Nicknames – James (also) = Jim
  • Context Sensitivity – ST = Saint, Street, State or S_T
  • Business Naming Conventions – WCMFFF – WCMF FM (radio station)
  • For TTS confirmation – Wendy’s Old Fashion Hamburger =Wendy’s
  • For Automation – NCAA = NC “double A”

Other quality standards applied include:

  • De-Duplication
  • Names without Vowels- Remove with a rich exception table to include names such as Ng
  • Misspellings corrected
Dynamic Change

Contact information changes frequently as people move or modify telephone service. To stay ahead, LSSIDATA has developed the web-based Data Discrepancy Report (DDR) tool to allow customers, carriers and contact data suppliers to easily report any required changes. DDR takes advantage of the carrier’s interest in ensuring contact information is as up to date as possible for DA requirements. Data Resellers benefit from exceptionally current contact information as a change of address notification for telephone service is an essential activity for the majority of New Movers.

LSSiDATA systems automatically update listings from DDR processes, yet maintain old listings in a separate database. Previous listings are available for a variety of skip tracing or other direct marketing efforts.

Automated Verification

LSSiDATA quality standards take advantage of sister company VoltDelta automated outbound calling with voice recognition capability called DeltaCast. DeltaCast enables verification of contact information or elements of a name, address, or other data without manual intervention. For example, DeltaCast has been used to verify fax and disconnected numbers.

Frequency of Updates

LSSiDATA makes daily updates to via automated, web-based and manual process to millions of records. A team of over 100 contribute to the QUIC process to ensure contact information is accurate and up to date.
